A sampling of professional news articles that I wrote over the years while working for Anoka-Hennepin. Content writing was one of my main duties during my time as staff writer. Aside from writing, I also interviewed subjects and typically took photos to accompany the article.
The goal was to produce journalism-style articles like you might read in a local newspaper. The articles were published in the district's newsletter (which is mailed to all district residents) as well as on the district's website and e-newsletter (which was text-only format at that time).
The district follows the Associated Press (AP) Style Guide.
